Spellcasters Chronicles – Astral Monk

Meet Astral Monk, one of the first characters we started working on for Spellcasters Chronicles by Quantic Dream.

In the beginning we got a project description, an artistic direction and a small moodboard. Everything else was up to us to explore. We did a lot of research and went through many rounds of revisions, trying to find the right style and balance for the character. We tried different silhouettes, played with proportions, searched for the direction that would feel just right.

Today we're sharing the full process - early research, a lot of alternate versions that gave some ideas for future characters, and the stages we've went to achieve the final look.

Huge thanks to Quantic Dream for the trust and for going through this one with us. It really makes a difference working with people who care about the craft as much as we do.
